Phase 1 of the Johnstown Leisure Centre has recently completed and is open to the public.

The extension includes a new 25 metre 8 lane infinity pool with a learner pool.

A Health suite consisting of steam room, sauna, luxury showers and spa whirpool are also included whilst the first floor contains a multipurpose room, administrative offices and viewing gallery with seating for 150 persons.

Phase 2 is currently on site and includes the refurbishment of the existing leisure centre including infilling the old swimming pool to provide a new Judo Hall and Gymnasium.

The scheme was delivered under a Design Build contract where EPT Partnership provided working drawings for the contractor Carillion. The design was undertaken by Lawray.
